On Mar. 16, Senior Jayvon Lyles decided to continue his academic and athletic career at Kentucky State University. This past season was Lyles’ first season playing football for Dunbar.

” I never expected this opportunity to come out of my first season playing ” Lyles said.

Originally Jayvon chose to attend West Virginia State University but decided to switch schools.

” …Kentucky Sate was closer to home and they really worked with me so I can go there,” Lyles said.

It is an athletes’ dream to play in college and he’s getting that opportunity.

” To go and play college football…it makes me feel like that I have achieved my ultimate goal… and I am looking forward to getting my degree and to contribute to a winning program.”

Jayvon plans to major in Agricultural Food Sciences and Environmental Health this coming fall semester.
