There are worries about students procrastinating buying the tickets. According to sponsor Sarah Lubbe, students have many opportunities to buy tickets, but few have begun purchasing them.
“The biggest concern is that students like to wait till the last minute because they are either unsure of whether their friends are going or what the game plan is going to be,” Mrs. Lubbe said.
Student council has helped with the planning of homecoming, including the Spooky Scurry, advertising the event, and homecoming court.
“Every single committee helps bring in donations for the whole event and just spread the word around the school,” student council President Olivia Markowitz said.
Homecoming week has many opportunities to celebrate Dunbar pride, and students make sure your tickets for homecoming weekend are purchased. Remember to be Positive, Respectful, Involved, Dependable, and Excellent.
