Dunbar’s Tennis Team Competes in the Region 11 Tournament
Dunbar’s tennis team finishes the Region 11 Tournament and reflects on the season.
Dunbar’s Tennis team recently finished their Region 11 Tournament at Henry Clay and Top Seed Tennis Club.
For the Boys team, sophomore Kian Rosenau had a standout performance during the tournament. He was also named to the Region 11 Boys All Region Team.
“I had a goal to become one of the top four seeds at regionals and a goal to make it to the state tournament.” said Rosenau.
Head Coach Jonathan Thompson has now accomplished goals for his team that he had coming into this season.
“We have had a lot of great success with our new players on both the boys and girls teams as well as the veterans coming back and finishing strong.”
It was also exciting for the tennis team to be able to play this year after not having a season last year due to COVID-19 lockdowns.
“I just wanted to have fun, and just play my best. I’m just happy that we got to play this season.” said senior Isabella Burns.
The team played well and will look to continue to improve as they move forward into next year.
