Dunbar's Baseball Team Competes in the 43rd District Tournament

Dunbar’s baseball team recently finished competing in the 43rd District Tournament this past weekend.

The team’s first game was against Lexington Catholic and was close throughout. Dunbar won the game 4-3 thanks to a masterful pitching performance from Willis McCarter.

Chase Zipper came up big for the dawgs in the fourth inning with a momentum changing 2-run homer that gave the dawgs a lead that would never let go of.

After beating Lexington Catholic, the Dawgs were faced with having to play the number 1 seed Lafayette.

Dunbar lost to the eventual district-champion Lafayette 15-0 in 3 innings.

Dunbar will lose 10 seniors heading into next year: Grant Duerson, Matt Hall, Tate Harberson, Taka Kiuchi, Willis McCarter, Alex McCord, Ace Steed, and Chase Zipper.
