Dunbar Academic Team Maintains a Busy Schedule
Dunbar’s Academic Team includes Future Problem Solvers and Community Problem Solvers groups.
The Academic Team is a combination of different activities ranging from critical call to written test. If you do Quiz Bowl you’re usually studying with [a variety of questions varying from hard questions to more simple questions], for Future Problem Solvers you’re learning how to think on the spot and how to write creative but also effectively,” said Quiz Bowl Captain senior David Ma.
Future Problem Solvers (FPS) are students who develop critical and creative thinking skills. It encourages students to develop a vision for the future and prepares students for leadership roles. They are led by senior Madi Hawles.
Community Problem Solvers (CmPS) are students who gain experience by confronting a real-world problem. They do so by identifying an issue within the community and implementing a solution at the state, local, national or global level. CmPS is headed by senior Jin Cho.
