Dunbar Sweeps Catholic in Three Sets

The Bulldogs defeated the Knights 3-0 on Sept. 12.

On Sept. 12 Dunbar (11-9) swept Lexington Catholic(10-2) winning all 3 sets. During the first set, Dunbar came out and established their dominance early, winning the set 25-14. In the second set Dunbar continued their control, and won it 25-18. With momentum in their favor, the Bulldogs controlled the third set winning 25-15, and ultimately, sweeping the Knights.

Sophomore Eleanor Davis led Dunbar in kills with 9, while senior Allie Chapman led the game in digs with 12. Senior Savannah Dudek led the team with 3 aces, and junior Meredith Phillips contributed with 38 assists.

Dunbar is now 12-9 on the year while Lexington Catholic is 10-3. Next up, the Bulldogs play at Tates Creek on Sept. 19.
