The Irony of Reliance on Technology

The year is 2019, and Dunbar High School’s phone policy is very strict. Students would sometimes be allowed to get on their phone with the school’s red and green zone policies. Red zone means students would not be allowed to get on their phone and if they did, they would get it taken away or written up. Green zone would mean that students could get on their phone and escape from the monotony of classwork.

It’s hard to believe that schools have been relying on technology more and moreover the past few months.  But ever since COVID 19, that’s been a reality.

During quarantine, students are using computers to do tasks like joining a class. They need to use them to talk with their teachers and do classwork.
