My name is Manning Baker I am a Junior at Paul Laurence Dunbar and a member of the PLD Lamplighter. I have been in Lamplighter for 2 years now, but this is my first year as a reporter.

I joined Lamplighter as an outlet for my creativeness and fun-loving personality but also to become more a part of the school.  Coming into this I am wanting to add more to my craft as a reporter and try to further this more into one day a career.

Other than being a part of Lamplighter I am also on the football team. I’m a pretty chill person whether it's trying new activities or doing what I already know I'm pretty much up to do anything fun, like going to the gym or hanging with close friends.

From my first year of trying to get to know things and learn more about this program, I’m pretty excited now coming on year two to really be more connected to this program and the people around it.
