Dunbar’s Phillips Named National Archery Champion
Dunbar junior Marissa Phillips was named the High School Girls Champion in the National Archery in Schools Program at the National Tournament held in Louisville on May 9.
With 192 schools participating, Phillips is ranked first of 1,690 high school girls. She scored 296 out of a possible 300, which puts her overall ranking as 6th of 12,044.
Her awards included a Golden Genesis bow and a $15,000 scholarship. She will go on to the World Invitational on July 23 in Nashville.
