Dunbar senior Elizabeth Lippert signed to continue her athletic and academic career at the University of Southern Indiana on Feb. 7.

The girls’ soccer team had a very successful season going 10-4-3, and Lippert was a key contributor to the Bulldogs’ defense—one of the best in the state.  Lippert also had five goals in her career.

“The thing I will miss most about high school is the teammates,” she said. “Just growing up with the girls for four years we have a strong relationship like a family.”

She said she also feels grateful for her coach, Tom Morgan.

“I also learned a lot from Coach Tom about the game of soccer.”

She said she’s also looking forward to “getting to play at the next level like I’ve always dreamed of doing.”

Lippert said she plans to study Occupational Therapy, so Southern Indiana caught her eye.

“I emailed them just to see if they would come to one of my games, and after the first game they emailed me and asked me to come and visit” she said.

Lippert is one of three Dunbar girls’ soccer players who have committed to playing soccer in college.
