On Mar.13 2020 Breona Taylor was killed in Louisville, Kentucky police officers Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, and Myles Cosgrove After obtaining a no-knock warrant to search her apartment for potential drugs. When the officers did not announce themselves, Breona Taylor’s boyfriend thought there was an intruder and got his gun.

Brett Hankinson as said in NBC newshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NYk-NZ_kDY&t=449s“was blindly shooting into Breona’s apartment almost killing a woman and her five-year-old  son.” When eight of the bullets hit Breona, Kenneth called 911. As said in the 911 call “ I don’t know what happened somebody kicked in the door and shot my girlfriend.”

While all of this was happening, neighbors started calling 911, One neighbor said “ Please man they just shot about 7 or 8 (inaudible) they right here right in front of my f***ing house and got my grandbaby and my kids in here’’ After months of not being recognized, the case of Breonna Taylor’s death blew up. Det. Brett Hakinson got fired for violating standard officer procedures. The other two officers are still under investigation.
