Syracuse v. West Virginia

Syracuse had a 34-18 bowl win over the West Virginia Mountaineers. The West Virginia Mountaineers faced the Syracuse Orange in the Camping World bowl on Dec. 28. The Mountaineers lead 18-17 into the final quarter, the Orange responded by scoring 17 points in the first 5 minutes of the fourth quarter. The game resulted in a 34-18 Syracuse win over the Mountaineers, the Orange were dominant on the offensive side of the ball leading to their victory. Syracuse Quarterback Eric Dungey threw for 303 yards, while Abdul Adams and Trishton Jackson, the running back and wide receiver duo combined for three touchdowns. The outstanding offense gave the team their first ten win season since 2001. With Will Grier opting out of playing to focus on the incoming NFL draft, Jack Allison made his first start for the Mountaineers ending with 277 yards thrown total. Other West Virginia players such as Kennedy McCoy who ran for a 3-yard touchdown run and Evan Stanley who made for field goals for the Mountaineers. The game was an awfully exciting one, throughout the game there were eight lead changes.
