Dunbar Surprise Evacuation Due to Water Main Break
On Jan. 19, students were evacuated due to a broken water line. Students spent 20 minutes outside the building while the alarm was being investigated.
Administrators sent home the following message:
“We had a water line burst in the gym this morning around 11:15 AM, and all students had to evacuate the building. The fire department and Fayette County maintenance turned the water off and made sure the building was safe to reenter. All students reentered the building at 11:35 AM. Student in the physical education classes were able to retrieve their belongings after reentering. We are back on schedule at this time.”
Cristina is a Dunbar cheerleader who enjoys reading and writing in her spare time.
