Dunbar’s junior class officers have organized a Homecoming dance to be held on Sept. 24. The “Saturday Night Lights” themed dance will be held in the PLD cafeteria.

“We wanted to boost school spirit, support the football team, fundraise for prom, and give the students a fun opportunity to socialize and dance with their peers while looking fly,” said the group’s president.

Tickets will be sold in the gym foyer concession stand before and after school for $20, which includes a ticket to the dance and a T-shirt. The profits from ticket sales will go to the Dunbar prom  planning fund.

In addition to planning the dance, the junior class  officers also announced the following spirit week themed outfit days:

Monday – ‘Merica Monday

Tuesday – Tropical Tuesday

Wednesday – Windbreaker Wednesday

Thursday – Throwback Thursday

Friday – Fan Friday
