The Dunbar Technology Student Association (TSA) took home several awards at the state conference from March 22-25 in Louisville at the Crown Plaza Hotel.

The Lamplighter would like to congratulate the following students on their achievements: Katie Yoder & Lucy Yang for winning first place in the children’s story category; Alex Mesones for winning second place in desktop publishing; Maggie Cook-Allen for winning first place in extemporaneous presentation; Cameron Maloney, Maggie Cook-Allen, Hannah McDaniel, & Alex Mesones for winning first place in the on-demand video category; Lucy Yang for winning first place in prepared presentation; Alex Mesones for winning second place in promotional graphics; Melissa Evans & Casey Lockridge for winning first place in technology problem solving, and Phillip Winder & Viri Sibaja for winning second place in technology problem solving.

Mr. Ben Herzog, who advises the club along with Ms. Susan Doring, said he is very proud of the students. “I was pleasantly surprised by how well we did.  Everything seemed to be very chaotic, but in the end it all came together nicely.”
