Heading Back to The Farm
Need something to do this summer? I have two words for you. Music festival. New faces and excellent music is the best mix for absolute happiness. Whether you know the band or artist preforming or not, it’s loads of fun and definitely a very memorable experience. Music festivals are worth the wait considering most of them take place in the summer. I’m one to talk; I bought a ticket and waited two months for what was about to be the best day of my life.
In 2014 I went to the Vans Warped Tour. It was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my young life; I met new people including famous singer Sydney Sierota, got lost in a crowd of people having to crowd surf my way out and listened to some fantastic music. I plan on going to Warped again this year as well as other festivals around Kentucky, and surrounding states and I highly encourage everyone I know to go as well.
Bad experiences can totally kill the irreplaceable vibe that music festivals give off. For example, when I went to Warped with my best friend. We were walking along and saw the lead singer of Echosmith walk by. Naturally we asked to get a picture. My friend sat down her phone and bag and we said hey and managed to get a picture and an autograph. When we came back to the spot where my friend left her stuff, her phone was gone. We began to panic. We ended up having to drive a city’s length up North to get her phone back from the person who had stolen it. To avoid a bad experience like my friend, under no circumstances should you leave your phone unattended or out in the open at a music festival.
Definitely make sure you stay hydrated. Not only is there minimal shade but there’s a slim chance you will be able to buy reasonably priced water. To avoid a bad experience, bring water and put on a lot of sunscreen!
Music festivals are a great way to connect with new people and make memories. If you haven’t made any plans for summer 2015, music festivals are a great way to soak up the summer sun and good music vibes.
