Vanderbilt v. Baylor

The Baylor Bears beat Vanderbilt in the Texas bowl 45-38 in a contested game. Quarterback Charlie Brewer for the bears came up huge with 384 yards passing and 2 touchdowns, the second a tiebreaking 52-yarder in the fourth quarter, and ran for 109 yards and another score. His dual-threat presence of passing and running just was too much for Vanderbilt and it fell short. Vanderbilt’s running back, Ke’Shawn Vaughn ran for 2 touchdowns and set a Texas Bowl record with 243 yards rushing – which ranks second in school history. Baylor Bears get the win and impressive turnaround season after last years season record of 1-11.
