TCU vs. California

On Dec. 26, TCU and California played in the Cheez-It Bowl. The game was very low scoring game due to many turnovers and failed 3rd down conversions. The game ended with TCU winning 10-7 after a field goal in overtime. Throughout the game, TCU struggled with their passing game and the game-changer for them was Junior running back Sewo Olonilua who rushed for 194 yards with 1 touchdown. Their rushing game kept them fighting and was ultimately the most important factor of the game. California started off good stopping TCU a lot on defense and scoring a touchdown in the first quarter but started slowing down after and made mistakes that ultimately threw their game off. Overall TCU recovered and found a way to win by focusing on their running game which effectively stopped California from keeping control of the game.
